Somehow God impacted my mind, and I was struck by the fact that one day, (one not known to man) we will no longer be alive...at least, not here on earth.

Yes, our bodies, they will die. Our souls, however, will live on. They will live on forever. Never shall they perish; never shall they cease to exist. God's creation, the spirit of man, will always be. That is why I say that you won't die. Your earthly covering will one day be gone, but you yourself won't be.

I remember thinking this morning how much I wanted to be in Heaven, and how much Heaven and eternal life aren't fairy tales. Amongst the everyday runaround we tend to forget about things eternal, and therefore most consequential to who we are.

I implore you, don't forget about eternal life. Don't forget why you're truly on this earth. Live each day to its fullest, bringing glory to the name of Jesus Christ.

And if you don't already know my God, I encourage you to ask of Him His forgiveness. He'll forgive you, of that be sure.

One day we'll no longer be here. When that day comes, where will your eternal soul be?

Ah Yes

Everybody be jolly, (jolly?). During my walk, I started talking to God. I’ve found that I’ve been doing that more lately. Anyway, I began thinking about all I have, and the fact that many other people my age don’t have nearly as much as I do. Now, I’m not rich by any stretch of the imagination. I’m almost 20 years old, and am still without my own car; I don’t have a job at this point either.
Those things, though, are beside the point. What I really want to say here, is that during my walk as I was talking with God, I became overwhelmed with the fact that I have so much. Heck, I began thanking God for things people don’t usually give a second thought to. “Thank you for the socks on my feet,” was one thing I said to Him. Shoes, clothing, food, a bed to sleep in, a computer, television, a loving family, physical well-being…those are just some of the things I found myself being grateful for. God really impressed me with how much I have, and how much many others do not.

This time of year, with Thanksgiving and Christmas in the air, I feel like the word “thankful” gets smacked around like a volleyball. We use it over and over, to the point where I think it begins to lose its meaning…at least, there is that danger. Let us not forget who we are. Let us not forget Who God is, and what He has done for us. We’ve got a lot to be thankful for, folks. Maybe you can’t see it, but just take a closer look at your life. You may be surprised.

God bless.

God's Just; Let's Pray

As I look around at the society we live in, I always come to the same conclusion: we’re not doing well. God’s been awesome in bestowing blessing after blessing upon us, and in return we’ve spit in His face. I can’t understand how a country could dare be so ungrateful. It’s horrifying.

Sometimes I wonder how much more He’s going to put up with. What will be the last straw? When will we have crossed the last line? Yes, His mercy abounds, but His sense of justice isn’t nullified.
